To My Sister on Her Birthday: My First Employee, My Forever Sister ❤️

Some people support your dreams from a distance, and then there are the people who roll up their sleeves, stand beside you, and help you bring those dreams to life. For me, my sister was one of those people. As we celebrate her birthday on October 27th, I wanted to take a moment to show her some love and appreciation. Not just for the sister she is to me, but for the memories we’ve created together, the experiences we’ve shared, and the role she played in one of my entrepreneurial journeys. Sometimes, when we look back on life, it’s the little moments that mean the most. And for me, some of those moments happened right in the kitchen. Before Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen, There Was Baked2Confections Before Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen, there was Baked2Confections, my previous venture where I sold baked goods at work. It was a chapter of my life when I was building something of my own, sharing my love for baking, and learning what it meant to turn something I enjoyed into a business. Why the Kitchen Will Always Be the Heart of My Home

If you were to ask me why I love to cook, my answer wouldn’t start with a recipe. It would start with my grandmother. Her name was Sue Belle Jefferson, and some of my favorite memories growing up were made in her kitchen. Sunday Dinner at Grandma’s Every Sunday after church, our family would gather at my grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner. And when I tell you she could COOK… she could cook! The collard greens would be so good. The fried chicken was always on point. And her cakes? She made everything from scratch. There was just something about the food coming out of her kitchen that made you feel loved before you even took your first bite. But looking back now, I realize it was never just about the food. It was about being together. We would sit around the table, laugh, catch up, and talk about everything going on in our lives. She would ask us what we learned at church that Sunday, and somehow those simple conversations became memories that have stayed with me all these years. And, of course, nobody was leaving Grandma house empty-handed. She was always sending us home with goodies. A sweet potato pie. A Little Debbie cake. Some leftovers. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. She always made sure there was something for us to take home. That was her way of showing love. And I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was learning

Welcome to Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen 🩷

A little food, a lot of love, and a seat at my table Hey, Cozy Crew! 🥰 Welcome to Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen! First and foremost, thank you so much for stopping by. Whether you found me through a recipe, social media, a friend, or you simply stumbled across my little corner of the internet, I’m truly happy you’re here. I created Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen because I believe food is about so much more than what’s on your plate. Food brings people together. Food creates memories. Food can make an ordinary day feel a little more special. And sometimes, a good meal can feel like a warm hug when you need one. That’s the feeling I want you to have every time you visit my kitchen. Here, you’ll find a little bit of everything I love—comforting savory dishes, sweet treats, homemade desserts, easy recipes, cozy meals, and plenty of food worth gathering around the table for. Some recipes may remind you of home. Some might introduce you to something completely new. And some might simply give you an excuse to treat yourself. And I think all of those things are worth celebrating. But Chardonnay’s Cozy Kitchen isn’t just about food. It’s about love. It’s about positivity. It’s about creating a space where you can come as you are, get comfortable, and hopefully leave with a smile. I want this blog to feel like you’re visiting a friend or family member’s kitchen. You know—the kind of kitchen where nobody cares if you
