Directions
-
1. Cook the macaroni
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a small amount of chicken bouillon to the water for extra flavor. Once the water is boiling, add the macaroni noodles from both boxes. Cook for approximately 11 minutes, or according to the package directions, until the noodles are tender. Drain the noodles well and return them to the pot.
-
2. Add the cheese
Add the cheese packets from both boxes directly to the hot macaroni. Add 2 cups of shredded triple-cheddar cheese and stir everything together until well combined.
-
3. Make the egg and milk mixture
In a small bowl, whisk together: ¼ cup milk 2 eggs Pour the mixture into the macaroni and stir well to evenly distribute it throughout the noodles.
-
4. Season
Add black pepper to taste and stir everything together. Tip: Since the macaroni and cheese already contains seasoning and the chicken bouillon adds additional flavor, you don't need a lot of extra seasoning.
-
5. Assemble
Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased square baking dish. Spread it out evenly, then cover the top with additional shredded triple-cheddar cheese. Finish with a sprinkle of black pepper and a light sprinkle of cayenne pepper for a little extra flavor.
-
6. Bake
Place the baking dish in a 350°F oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and the mac and cheese is hot and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
